Misalkan $U = 4x-3$ dan $V= 2x-1$. Maka $f(x)=\frac{U}{V}$


Dengan menggunakan rumus 9, kita dapat:


$$f' (x)= \frac{u' \cdot v - u \cdot v' }{v^2}$$


$dU dx = 4$ dan $dV dx = 2$


Dengan demikian, $$f' (x)= \frac{4(2x-1) - (4x-3)2 }{(2x-1)^2}$$


$$f' (x)= \frac{2}{(2x-1)^2}$$


Maka $$f' (5) = \frac{2}{(2 \cdot 5 - 1)^2}$$


$$f' (2) = \frac{2}{9^2} = \frac{2}{81}$$
